This here is the Emporer scorpion.  It is a forest variety type scorpion.  It is tough, impressive, and has a hardy nature.  It's diet in the wild mainly consists of termites, mice, and small lizards.  If it's kept as a pet it can mainly eat grasshoppers, earthworms, and other insects like that.  It is mainly relative to Africa and are kind of hard to find.  It can dig and live in holes or trees.  Sometimes it will just take over the termites' nest and live there.  I don't believe that they live in the U.S.A.

The Emporer scorpion has been used in the movie The Scorpion King.  When exposed to ultra violent light, they turn a weird type of green color because they have a mineral in their exoskelaton.  Like mammals, they are born alive.  The Emporer scorpion is usually hunted by poachers for its rarity.  If you care for them they can live up to 2-6 years, and some grow between 3 to 8 inches long.  If you would like to care for one you need to keep it cool by misting it with just a tiny amount of water and give a couple hiding places like non-toxic logs, trees, and leaves.  And maintain the cage at about 85 degrees farenheit.  Remember that this is one of my favorite animals!! (Even though I don't own one)
